Today was my second ski lesson at Mt. Hood Meadows! Finally made it to Buttercup and did a real ski down the mountain! I wasn’t on the tiny bunny hill anymore and holy shit did it feel fast! I fell several times. Just when I thought I had it, I didn’t. But I’m enjoying this ski thing. I was pretty intimidated to try it and not gonna lie, I am still a bit intimidated. But I am doing it and I AM having a really good time.

The day was beautiful. Brian had checked the conditions last night and it sounded like it was going to be windy and cold. But when we got there it was sunny and pretty warm. I ended up ditching my jacket at the start of the day and spent the afternoon in just my fleece. After we finished up skiing and snowboarding, we sat out on the patio to soak up the sunshine and happy vibes from everyone around us. I had pinot gris, Brian had a beer. We made friends with some fun ladies from West Linn who were SHOCKED I had a 23 year old daughter. “There is no way you are 47. NO.WAY.” Yeah way, sister.

My body feels tired now. My legs are laughing at me for thinking I had been working out the right muscles for skiing. I’m excited to lay on a soft surface and eat won ton noodle soup. Tomorrow is Olympus Rally Race!
